Who are 7th Heaven

7th Heaven is a group expressing worship through dance at St Leonard’s Church, Lexden. The group is aimed at young people over the age of 7. The only requirement is that they are enthusiastic and able to express themselves using the medium of dance.

How will 7th Heaven be run?

The group meets on Monday evenings between 6.00-6.45pm during term time, on dates advised by letter and on our web-link. The group will work towards providing a meaningful contribution to special services at St Leonard’s and adding a new dimension to worship.

The young people will be given tuition to learn rhythmic sequences of movement and perform them showing an appropriate response to the music. At the same time they will have the fun of performing with others that have the same interest.

Who runs 7th Heaven?

Pauline Jarvis already has a high profile in the parish as a Licensed Reader and leader of our parent toddler group. She has many years experience of child care and is ‘Administrator’ of the group.

Shannon Forster is ‘Choreographer’ for the group and has been a member of Stagecoach for a number of years. Her chosen career is in drama and the performing arts.

Graham Bell assists in the general organisation and running of the group. He has had training in stage management with many relevant skills and also helps with rehearsals. Graham has sung with a number of Choral Societies and also was a member of the adult choir at St Leonard’s for over 16 years.

In accordance with the P.C.C.’s Child Protection Policy, Pauline and Graham have undergone the appropriate checks. Shannon is still a minor.
