INFORMATION TO PARENTS

Who are LYNX?

LYNX is an orchestral group for people of any age. The aim of the group is to provide a means for all members to participate in and contribute to the life of the church whilst enjoying music making together. They meet usually on the last Sunday of each month at St. Leonard’s church between 4.00–5.30 p.m. in term time. Anyone who is of approximately grade two standard on their instrument, is enthusiastic to play in the group and can attend regularly will be welcome.

How is LYNX run?

We aim, through regular rehearsals and imaginative arrangements, to develop the skills and standard of playing amongst the group.

When do LYNX perform?

LYNX regularly contribute musical items at the monthly Family Service and on other occasions at St. Leonard’s church. There are opportunities to combine forces with S. L. Club Juniors in presenting items, at church, and at other venues, as well as performing on their own.

The group have contributed to the CD ‘Voices of Christmas’ and will be included in all future recordings.
