This is where we will highlight what’s coming up in the next month or so. We’ll put details of special services and activities here. Daily events are listed on the home page.
We will be holding a Friendship ‘light’ Lunch on Saturday 28th April at 12:30pm.
Due to the weather, the building work is a bit slower than we had hoped so we plan a light lunch of homemade soup and sandwiches with something sweet to go with a coffee for £3. A sign up list will be available after Easter.
This will be on Sunday 29th April at 6.30pm after Evensong.
Copies of the Annual Reports and Accounts are also available at the back of Church.
Men’s Prayer Breakfast on the first Saturday of every month in the Nicholls Room 8.30am to 10.00am. With a breakfast of Cereals, Team, Coffee, Fruit Juice and Bacon Rolls. Followed by Prayer Time.
Lexden Choral Society Concert at St. Botolph’s Church Colchester on Saturday 5th May at 7.30pm.
There will be: Vivaldi, Handel and Bernstein and a pre-performance Talk. An entertaining and illuminating talk, with musical quotations, to introduce this master work and enhance your enjoyment of the performance.

The Bric-a-brac stall always needs refreshing. Robin will take all small items if you are having a clear out – he will collect anything you might take to the charity shop. Please start saving bottles for the Tombola stall.
It no doubt seems a long time ahead, but we are holding a Flower Festival over the Harvest weekend, 6th & 7th October.
This is not just an opportunity for the flower arrangers to ‘do their thing,’ but for everybody to ve involved in some way. Yes, anyone who can arrange flowers will be needed, but the success of this venture will lie with us all — in inviting friends, family, neighbours along, and not only inviting them but coming with them.
This is an opportunity to bring people who do not normally attend St Leonard’s along to meet our friendly and inclusive congregation, and in coming into church we pray that they may find something of God’s love for them.
There will be plenty to come along to—the current plan is as follows:
Saturday 6th October: Church open with light refreshments, lunches and teas, from 10.30am to 5.00pm.
A concert by Lexden Choral Society, with audience participation, at 7.30pm. (To be confirmed)
Sunday 7th October: Our All Age Harvest Thanksgiving at 9.45am.
Church open again at 2.00pm, with teas being served until 5.00pm, when there will be a Harvest Songs of Praise.
